The Truth Will Set You Free
As we move into different energies on earth, the vibration of truth becomes more than just a virtue - it becomes a compass. In a world of noise, manipulation, and half-truths, being rooted in what’s real and living your truth is the foundation of true authenticity. And authenticity is magnetic. So, how do we discover more truth in ourselves and in the world around us?
Discernment
The first step is discernment. We need to hone in on our innate bullshit detector. Learning how to read your intuition so you know when something feels off. This is the place where we can learn to take a moment and feel into something for ourselves - rather than blindly taking in everything as truth because someone with ‘authority’ told us it’s true.
Maybe we learn to dig a little deeper, what would the motive behind this be? Who funded it? Is it possible there is another narrative floating around? Can we learn more by looking at both sides and then deciding for ourselves?
Discernment asks us to recognize that truth doesn’t always come from the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes, it whispers.
Curiosity
Once we begin discerning what doesn’t feel true, the next step is to stay open to what might be. Curiosity creates space. Wouldn’t it be nice if everything we have taken into our mind as ‘truth’ or ‘fact’ were indeed true? But, how many times have those ‘facts’ shifted?
Is Pluto a planet - or a moon? Did the brontosaurus actually exist - or were its bones pieced together incorrectly? These are just examples of the things I remember being taught in school that have since been upended.
The point is: what we think we know is always evolving. When we can learn to look at things from a place of curiosity, knowing that we really don’t know much about anything (with respect to everything there is to know), conflicting information doesn’t threaten our sense of self. It’s not so personal. It opens the space to ask questions to find out more - and asking questions is where consciousness expands.
Alignment
After discernment and curiosity comes alignment. Once you sense what rings true for you, how can you embody it and walk the talk? In what way can you shift your day to day so that you are being authentic to your beliefs?
Maybe you stopped believing mainstream journalism represents unbiased truth - so you turn off the program.
Maybe you stopped believing that certain illnesses or ailments are incurable - so you start digging into alternative healing.
Maybe you stopped believing that our systems of ‘authority’ would never lie to us - so you become your own authority.
Now take a step back.
When we can observe our surroundings and our life through the lens of a neutral witness, we gain clarity. We see more. We don’t take things so personally. And from that space, we can better understand the lessons in front of us.
Commit to discernment, embrace curiosity, and align with your truth.
Because in a world full of noise, your truth is your gateway to freedom.
